about

Piiptsjilling (pronounced 'peep-chilling') always improvises on the spot, instant composing, either live or in a studio setting. Working highly intuitively, the quartet patiently moves through stretches of melancholic dreamscapes, varying between abstract minimalism and dense drones.

Piiptsjilling's first (self titled) album was released by the Dutch label
Onomatopee in 2008, followed by the albums 'Wurdskrieme' (Experimedia, 2011), 'Molkedrippen' (Spekk, 2014), 'Moerwardt' (Midira, 2014) and 'Slieperswaar' (self-released, 2015)

'Molkedrippen' was recorded together with Wurdskrieme at Studio Landscape in Gau, Friesland, in 2010. The release of the album was delayed due to a temporary hiatus of Spekk Records.
